For this part I went the Cinema Center on Route 11 and sat in the Hallway as people walked in and out. I got there around 1:45 and there were very few people in the parking lot. I walked in and to get in the doors you have to pass the box office and I passed right past them and went in and sat a bench. I was definitely getting stares from the staff because I did not buy tickets and they probably thought I was trying to sneak in. I looked at the show times and I noticed that there were no movies going in until 2:00. People started to come but still there were not a lot of people that came. Some of the people were older with kids and other people looked like college students. All the people bought their tickets and then proceeded into the lobby and many people went straight to their theater. A couple people would go to the snack stand and look at the menu but then would proceed to their theater without buying anything. Others with little children would get popcorn and drinks and some would get a candy or two. After they got snacks they would then go to their theater. Then there was a few that would come in and buy their ticket and wait in the lobby and just roam around awkwardly until there friends showed up to go see the movies with them. When people were leaving the theater they most likely just threw out their trash and left. Few people sat around and talked with each other before leaving in separate cars.

The literacy practices I noticed about the community was they did not say much when they walked past me going to their theater unless it was a conversation about the flood or a certain professor. This area was a comfortable area to start conversations about their day or how excited they are to see the movie. Some places can be socially awkward but at the movies it is easy to start a conversation either about the movies or about your day or even about what is going on in the community.
